Where will you spend eternity?

Now if you think about it most of us don't want to think about death. We think it's something that is just part of life, that's no big deal. Yes that's true in a sense, but in an eternal sense you will be dead far longer than you will ever be alive. Have you ever thought about that? When I think about that it astounds me. Death is a topic most of us don't want to talk about, yet it will happen to each and everyone of us and their is nothing we can do to stop it. Here's something to think about. When you want to reach a certain destination you don't just go on a road and drive forward hoping to get there. Then later on you realize you have been driving 3 hrs in the wrong direction? Why would you do that? The only logical option is that you plan out where you are going to go instead of realizing you were going the wrong way the whole time. It's the same thing with eternity. We plan out where we are going after death instead of dying and awaiting what is out there. Waiting for what is out there after we die is not a very smart idea. Once you know what is out there without a certain requirement, their is no turning back. Jesus came to offer us eternal life into Heaven and we can only accept it as a free gift. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 Heaven is described in the bible as a beautiful paradise that is beyond human imagination where the people who have believed and trusted Jesus Christ as their savior will be. Hell is a place of graphic torment that is worse beyond imagination where the people who have rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be there. And keep in mind that you will be in one of these two destinations forever.....and ever...and ever....and ever...with no end. So choose wisely you only have so much time. Your life is very short compared with eternity. "Show me, O Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath." Psalm 39:4-5 Amen.
