Bible verse

"Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the Lord." Jeremiah 1:8

We should not be afraid of people because they will die just like the rest of us. And God promises to rescue us and protect us. So do not be afraid my brothers and sisters. The same God who overcame the world can give us the power to overcome our enemies and the world. He is good forever and ever! Amen!!!

The Cross

The Cross is where we look to our Savior Jesus Christ who died for our sins and shed His blood to wash away all of our sins. Look to Jesus, repent of your sins and believe upon Him for the forgiveness of your sins. Amen!!! "For the wages of sin death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

Story

This picture is of a man who disguised himself as a pastor to teach his Church a lesson. The story broke my heart of how the modern day "Church" treated this man (who was their pastor disguised as a homeless person). Here is the full story, please read and think about this.

Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning.
He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him.
He asked people for change to buy food – no one in the church gave him change.
He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit in the back.
He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.
As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such.
When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation.
“We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek.” The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation.
The homeless man sitting in the back stood up and started walking down the aisle. The clapping stopped with all eyes on him.
He walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment then he recited,
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
‘The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning. Many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame.
He then said, “Today I see a gathering of people, not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples. When will YOU decide to become disciples?”
He then dismissed service until next week.
Following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ should be more than just talk. It ought to be a lifestyle that others around you can love about you and share in.

"He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." Romans 4:25

"Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, 'Woman, why are you crying?' 'They have taken my Lord away,' she said, 'and I don't know where they have put him. At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. 'Woman,' he said. 'why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?' Thinking he was the gardener, she said 'Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get to him.' Jesus said to her, 'Mary.' She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her." John 20:10-18

The Cross triumphs over sin!!!

"When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcisioin of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with it's regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers of and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:13-15 Our sins were nailed on the cross when Jesus took the suffering for us. Please repent of your sin and ask Jesus to forgive you and tell Him to be your Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord!!!

9/12/13

Three days ago on Monday I drove to my local plaza to apply for a job. As I arrived to a stoplight about to turn, I noticed a homeless woman sitting on a curb. I drove past her and parked my car near a Denny's restaurant. I was thinking about my past experience of me driving past a homeless person when I should have helped them. Well this time, I was not going to let that opportunity slip by from me. I walked over to the homeless woman and greeted her and we chatted for a long time. It was mostly her telling me about her current troubling situation and about her past as well. She told me how she was harassed by cops and people who would just walk by her and insult her. It broke my heart. She also told me a story of when she came up to a vehicle and a man had candy for her and threw it on the ground. It made me sad how mistreated this poor woman was. All I was doing was just listening minute after minute from the stories and experiences she was telling me. Before I left I asked for her name and she told me Melissa. I asked Melissa "before I go, can I pray for you?" She said yes and so I prayed for her and then I gave her a gospel tract to read. I did not verbally share the gospel with her, but I did give her a gospel tract that explains the whole gospel and how her soul can be saved. I will praying for Melissa and whatever attention God is going to grab her, He will. Please pray for her soul and that the gospel tract that she reads would have the biblical gospel planted in her heart. I never want to ignore another homeless or poor person again. The last time I did, I felt so much guilt and I knew the Lord wanted me to turn around and talk to that person. But my flesh told me to go home and leave. This time the Spirit of God compelled me to go and reach that lost person and I listened to my Spirit. And it was not wrong, just listening to that poor soul was worth my time. I would do it again. Please don't ignore homeless people or any lost person at all. They all need the Lord Jesus Christ. Do something about it. We are the light and salt of the earth Jesus says. God bless you my brother's and sisters. Invite more people around the globe to my blog. It will be well worth their time! The gospel changes lives! Praise the Lord!!!
