The old us

When we become born-again we have left the sinful nature behind and are given new desires from the Lord. We live a different life as a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. We have put away the old self, and have put on the new self. We are a new creation because we are in Christ! "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 The Lord will begin to sanctify us and we will desire to be like Christ. We won't be perfect of course because we are still in this sinful world battling the flesh, but we are a different person. We have no desire to sin anymore because we don't want to separated from Jesus Christ our Saviour. Remember my brothers and sisters, we are forgiven not perfect. Forgiven of our sins by the blood spilled by our Lord on the cross for all of us. It's His beautiful grace that keeps us thankful for what He has done for us. Continue to pursue after Jesus!!!
