As I was reading the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn I was skimming through the book when I spotted what looked like a poem. It was actually an epitaph that went like this:
Pause, stranger, when you pass me by
As you are now, so once was I
As I am now, so you will be
So prepare for death and follow me
To follow you I'm not content
Until I know which way you went
The last two phrases which start with to follow you and until I know, were actually added phrases that an unknown passerbyer wrote on the tombstone. And the epitaph is located on a 100 year old tombstone in a graveyard in Indiana.
