Yesterday I had a very interesting conversation with my atheist family friend. We talked about gay marriage and other various topics. One of the interesting things I heard from my atheist family friend is that he told me that if God exists and He created us, He wouldn't hate us. Because He knows that if an all-knowing, all-powerful and loving God is love, He wouldn't throw His Creation away. He told me that it wasn't right for people to say that God hates gay people when there is no evidence that He does. Where does it say in the bible that God hates people? Or even gay people for that matter? It doesn't. God loves every person on earth whether lost or saved. He proved it by dying for us on the Cross. "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 John 4:10 That doesn't mean that God loves the person's sin because God is holy and He hates sin. God loves people, not sin. It is mankind's sin that causes us human beings to fall. From the beginning in Genesis where Creation fell and sin came upon the entire world. Genesis 3. God knew that there was no other way and that Jesus Christ was the only answer to a fallen humanity like us. "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:17 Another interesting point my family friend made was that he also knew that pride was a bad thing according to the bible. He didn't know the exact verse but I knew what he was referring to. It was this: "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18 Me and my family friend had a great conversation, please pray for his soul that he would be saved. Even he as an atheist that does not believe in God, knew that a God who is love can't hate His people that He made because that is against His nature. I know this was a divine appointment. Praise the Lord!!!
